Person-related data, especially person names, are ubiquitous in a wide array of databases and computer programs, ranging from business to scientific applications. The present paper describes considerations concerning the implementation of the data structures modelled in the CDEFD Information Model for Biological Collections (Berendsohn & al., this volume) and the IOPI Taxonomic Data Model ( Berendsohn 1994). The implementation of person teams in the accession system of the Botanical Garden Berlin-Dahlem is described in detail.
