The literature to be digitized in the course of this project will be selected and prioritized based on the frequency of use and scientific importance of the bibliographic references found in TROPICOS, the Missouri Botanical Garden's botanical database. This list was generated by selecting all titles in TROPICOS published before 1925 and totalling the number of vascular (VAST) and bryophyte (MOST) names described in each."
