Web Site. Because of their common interests, all
three Societies share a close working relationship as
well as the same Headquarters Office staff in Madison,
Wisconsin. However, each of the three Societies is
autonomous, has its own bylaws, and is governed by its
own Board of Directors. Society members are dedicated to
the conservation and wise use of natural resources to
produce food, feed, and fiber crops while maintaining or

Horticultural Society (UK) is a body affiliated to
the RHS. It was founded in 1969 to "promote and

Lake District". The gardens are located in the
glorious grounds of Holehird near to Windermere in the
north-west of England. The Society occupies the Victorian
walled garden and much of the remaining grounds near the
house, a total of about five acres. The elevated site on
a hillside to the east of Windermere provide s
spectacular views across the lake to the fells beyond.
